Special Study Break - Monday 30th August 2010



Dear Students,

In an effort for cost savings and as part of MMU's green initiatives (lesser wastage), the Management Committee of MMU has agreed and declared that Monday, 30th August 2010, will be a non-working day in MMU. As such Monday, 30th August 2010 will also be a special study break for all students. All classes will be canceled and the replacement classes will be informed by your respective lecturers soon.

sepanjang ramadhan nie banyak dugaan aku kena hadapi

baby dumping

The Cabinet has decided to classify baby dumping that leads to the death of babies as a crime that warrants the death sentence.

This was needed to nail those responsible for the deaths of the babies , said Women, Family and Community Develop ment Minister Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil.

“The Cabinet has decided that the Home Ministry through the police, investigate these cases as murder when a baby dies,” she said.

Police would be asked to conduct DNA tests to identify the parents of dead babies, she said in a statement.

Under Section 302 of the Penal Code, the punishment for murder is death.

Before this, cases of baby dumping which led to death were mainly investigated under Section 317 (abandonment), Section 318 (concealment of birth by secret disposal of body), Section 309 (infanticide) or Section 31 of the Child Act (abandonment), said a ministry’s legal officer.

Jail sentences ranged from 10 to 30 years and offenders were also liable to fines.

ha ambik!padan muka..dok buang bayi sgt..orang len ada yg susah nak dapatkan baby yg setan - setan nie plak suka hati je buang bayi..haish..dunia - dunia..aku mmg stuju sgt setan - setan dpt hukuman yg setimpal nie..mmg setimpal dah..hukuman mati...memang berbaloi r ngn ape yg diorg wat.. aku jadi emo pun sbb kebetulan aku kena wat assgmt berkaitan ngn punishment under penal code.setiap kali search isu paling byk kes buang bayi je..pedih mata,hati,telinga dengar isu nie..ase kecewa dengan sikap manusia yg macam binatang ini!!
